Saturday The Stumn family has quite an operation here in the dry corner of the state on the rich black soil in this area.
Linlee and his three sons run a huge farming plant with over 10000 acres of crops . They have had good rain in the last 2 months after years of drought conditions are just back on the ground after half inch on Thursday and they are planting millet with two airseeders and a 60 ft conventional JDeere planter Plus they are spraying with two self propelled sprayers . Liquid fertilizer and some broadleaf knockdown brew . Their wheat in only about two or three weeks from harvesting and seems to be filling well , so it is all happening here right now .
They have purchased an old coop elevator and quite a few grainsheds in the townships of Towner and Sheridan Lakes . Helped Linlee unload a couple of vintage cars A special Chrysler 1957 Coupe with a 392 hemi head v8 Very rare. He also has some others of similar vintage. He was showing them somewhere in Kansas and has quite a few ribbons and a trophy to show for it. They were on a gooseneck trailor that they pull behind a big Ute and they need it to go pickup a draper front from Denver on Monday .
We plan to go to their Church tomorrow and move on to Colorado Springs Monday .
